Founded in 1959 in Belen, Caldas, Coopcafer was Colombia’s first coffee cooperative. For over six decades Coopcafer has stood as a bridge between generations of producers and the global coffee community. Its mission remains rooted in the same purpose that inspired its founders: to strengthen the region’s coffee growers through fair trade, social welfare, and sustainable development.

Coopcafer includes 17 buying stations and a dedicated logistics center. Their programs support farmers with access to fertilizers, technical assistance, and coffee mill improvements, while also promoting education, healthcare, and environmental awareness across Risaralda’s coffee landscapes.
